    Hello

I was hoping someone could help me with an internittent (although becoming more regular) problem.

Simply put, when a wash cycle is started, it doesn’t end automatically. I have to switch the machine off, then manually put it into the rinse cycle and switch back on, which will normally then progress properly.

I’ve seen this mentioned a couple of times in a google search, but without any answers.

Has anyone got any ideas I can check out, or is it borked ?

    Thanks

When it sticks, are any of the left hand neon indicators flashing?

No, none of the lights flash. The ‘wash’ light is on, but it’s steady.

It merely continues to wash, until I switch it off.

I forgot a couple of days ago and it carried on all night!

The washing was a bit knotted up after that

Not one I’ve this before although if my memory is correct I seem to remember one of the Indesit engineers who pop in here from time to time mention that a faulty heater can cause this and not throw up an error message. Worth testing the heater if you have the skills and access to the correct test equipment. Be sure to remove the mains plug before you put your hands inside.

TBH the electronics on these Indesit machines are some of the most unreliable on the market at present. 😥
