ParticipantI didn’t realise until today that all Bosch/Siemens/Neff made appliances are listed on their website. By that I mean those that don’t say Bosch/Siemens or Neff on the appliance but in my case it was a TECNIK 😕
Now in the past I have been to a good number of calls where the customer has sworn their appliance “Was a Bosch – except that it doesn’t have the makers name on the appliance!” And I get there to find they aren’t remotely like Bosch and at best very difficult to establish what the hell make they are? :rolls:
So it appears that if it looks like it might be? Chances are it is and can only be confirmed by getting the model number off the door or back panel then checking it on their website?
You might be as surprised as I was to find it listed. 😀

my mate gerry runs an official bosch repair service…he is driven to dispair when a customer rings in for a service call and gerry asks for the e-nr and fd number….often the customer says..there is no number…yes there is says gerry all bosch appliances have the e-nr and fd number stamped on the door of a d/w and a label on the door rim of a w/m with the numbers…i’ve been there when he gets such a call and the customer is absolutely adamment there is no numbers to be seen ANYWHERE!!!! the conversation turns into a battle of wills …gerry says there is a number…customer says there isn’t….gerry has to end this by saying …there is a number ..ring me back when you find it and we will be able to book an appointment. i haven’t been there when part 2 of the conversation takes place 🙂

ParticipantMartin , i’m led to believe that we don’t make technik appliances , just look after the servicing/repair of certain models (TKL 9260 for example ) . Its funny that no-one in my own company actually seems very sure what we DO produce !!!

The TECNIK dishwasher in my case was an SE6TIE1GB/12 and if you copy & paste that number onto the Bosch website it comes up and interestingly enough shows the coded ‘prefix’ (i.e TKD702) and that I figure stands for Tecknik Dishwasher No 7 produced in 2002? 😉

Lets just be grateful at least that your company produces loads of good gear under various guises and yet fully co-operates with the trade….Small mercies worth treasuring….LONG LIVE BOSCH!!! 😀

They also badged Neff single oven units as Teknic too !!!
Loads of these Bosch/Neff/Siemens DW’s badged up as Teknic & yes they are the same model as the SE6TIE…August 23, 2007 at 7:59 pm #225516superfix

Also a few integrated fridges and freezers are badged as Tecnik. As are some hobs and hoods.

Whats more, if you go on a Hotpoint badged Bosch dishwasher, there is usually also a Bosch model number on the rating plate right alongside the Hotpoint one. These also work on quickfinder and the parts are a whole lot cheaper than from Hotpoint.
