I am hoping for a refrigeration expert here? I have been out to this yankee style samsung today and the story is………..whatever the freezer temp is set to (-18 for instance) the unit runs & cools both fridge & freezer to the req temperature.
As soon as the set temperature is reached (-18 for instance) the compressor stops running – good so far? However the compressor then refuses to restart even when the freezer temperature rises to – 10 for instance.
The unit will then go through the whole cycle again only when mains power is interupted…………..Board fault?? I am assuming the sensor is okay ‘cos it switches the compressor off at the right time.
If you are still awake I eagerly await loads of quick responses all directing me to a loose connection/common fault :rotfl:

Hi
The problem will lie in the defrost or defrost sensors of either the fridge of the freezer.
Put the appliance into a forced defrost and find out which one isnt working correctly

Have you tried banging the F/F to see if it wil restart? This wil normaly indicate a lose conection.
