Participantcan somebody advise where we might purchase spares for this TDV65 tumble dryer , we need new belt and tension pulley for this model and CDSL can’t help ( no info ) or has this been modified so no tension pulley needed and smaller stretch belt to be fitted ,have seen some info on homespare site about this but info not clear on subject, thanks

I think the machine may be a whirlpool with the belt being a 1970 H7 (or 1965 H6)

yes original belt is 1965 ,but the main part we need is tension pulley as the pulley has partly melted ,seems the belt has snapped and the tension pulley has come into contact with motor and pulley has got a very big groove in it

The part numbers Dave gave above are correct, the single pulley was superseded a few years back and the double pulley will fit the appliance.

thanks for that info, although cost of those spares ( pulley mainly) will probably make it uneconomic to do

I don’t know, what’s it comming to when a small job of fitting a belt & jockey pulley is an uneconomical repair on a comparatively decent dryer :rolls:

connect quote retail price £43.03 + vat for pulley and £11.89 +vat for belt = total £64.53 :rolls: (allowing us a small profit for handling) before we add any labour on it !! 8O,
