Current washer has been declared BER and Insurance is offering AEG 44080im as a replacement, I have no complaints with this as it seems a better machine than my 12 year old Tricity-Bendix. We have spent the last two days scouring South Manchester and North Cheshire trying to find one to look at to no avail.
We only have one question, can we fit our existing front panel to the door ? From the AEG website it seems to come with a short, blank white panel. Is this removable and can the one to match the kitchen be fitted in it’s place. Both old and new are “Semi Integrated”
    Any input appreciated.

Assuming it is described as “semi intergrated” (ie the control panel is visible about the wooden door panel) then yes your panel will fit…..but its not always so easy. The old mounting brackets will need to be removed from your old door panel and the new ones fitted. I dont know the model you are buying, but they usually come with instructions (IKEA syle so not always easy) and a template to mark where the new brackets should be fitted. In some cases, a small strip needs to be shaved off the kick board under your dishwashers front in order to clear the door.
