Can anyone advise me on the following fault. My Sevis M7055 fridge freezer does not switch off and is noisy. If I turn the thermostat to “0” it will switch off. If turn it to any another position nothing happens for 10 minutes and then it switches on but will not switch off. It is keeping the fridge cold with a little frost build up on the rear. The freezer is frosted and seems to be working. If it was not for the continuous noise it would almost seem to be working okay, although I would have expected by turning the thermostat position to differnet settings this should have an affect on the amount of cooling within the fridge.
One of these two faults is likely, either it is short of refrigerant and not getting down to temperature or the compressor is failing, thereby not passing enough refrigerant around the system to get it down to the correct temperature. Engineer time I’m afraid.
