We have a Indesit WG113D Washing Machine that keeps stopping between each program.

For example, if you start the program at 3, it fills up with water and then stops and then you can advance one click and it carrys on until it reaches 4 and then it stops further to filling up with water again. This story is similar between other programs.

I am told the wash goes through okay, but it’s a bit of pain because you have to keep advancing the program.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated…

    Thanks,

    Richard. 🙁

It could be a heater related fault, if you set the machine to rinse & spin does it complete the cycle without you having to move it on?

It does point to a heater failure, testing the heater element for continuity & resistance and also looking for possible broken or loose wiring would be the next step. It can also be caused by faults in the thermostat and control timer. Be sure to remove the mains plug before you put your hands inside.

    Jim.
