    After a recent power cut the clock on my Whirlpool AKZ151 fitted oven reads STOP. While this is the norm after loss of power I am unable to reset the time by holding down the middle button or pressing it twice as nothing happens. I have seen this comment in other forums but it was unclear as to how this was resolved. Any advice as to whether and how this can be resolved would be greatly appreciated esecially if it doesn’t require paying out for a new clock or even worse a new oven.

    Before you press the small middle button make sure that the main oven knob is in the off position.

    Done that and it makes no difference. I can press away at the middle button to my hearts content and the clock continues to read STOP.

    Can you feel a click when pushing the middle button??
    If not button switch is kaput, If you can feel it click it could be a faulty control board.
