    Hi, my smartdrive starts up normally. But when i push the start/pause button it beeps but nothing happens – most of the time. Twice the machine has started and run normally, but does nothing the other 50 times. I have run the diagnostics, but get no errors (no lights on). Any ideas??

    Check the basics – lid and out of balance switches are crucial to machine operation. Both suffer from corrosion and damp issues.

    cheers for the reply. The lid switch appears to be working when i get the machine to work. How do i check the out of balance switch???
