Machine starts intaking water, rotates, allows additional water in, starts wash cycle for about a minute and then the pump starts as if it is trying to remove water, dial rotates indicating a problem but trying to isolate it is proving difficult. The LED blips around three times when I reset it. The draining cycle appears to finish when I turn the dial to drain the machine to investigate the problem.

I removed the coin catcher and a substantial amount of water gushed out. Discovered 3 semi-clear pieces of plastic which look as if the were attached via some holes to something and which I cannot account for. The plastic is a few mm thick and showing some scoring but i’m not sure whether this is from the machine or from something else. The pieces dont fit together either so I guess there are some other pieces loose in the machine. A Paddle on the drum broke off a week or so ago and I replaced it but another one of the paddles is now loose and is missing three of the retaining clips on one side, I will need to replace that also but does anyone know or help me to identify or point me towards where the problem may be in the machine itself.

I’m guessing that something has possible broken off inside the drums and is wedged somewhere causing either pump out or paddle problems but that does not explain why the wash cycle commences and stops so quickly.

Many thanks for any and all assistance

When the timer knob starts to click round you need to count the number of times the mains neon flashes whilst the knob is clicking round. Let us know what you find.
