ParticipantHi Guys
I’ve been to a miele WT946 washer dryer today with inlet/filter light flashing after about 30 seconds.
the aquastop valve had a resistance of 30ohms more like an element and also looked like it had got quite hot so I bypassed it with a normal fill hose but it still did not fill.
I attatched another valve coil to the machine just incase the module needed a reading from it but still no go.
I also found one of the dryer valves o/c, again connected another but still no fill.
When the machine starts I hear a relay click on the main board and then another then the inlet/filter light flashes.
Anyone had a similar fault?
Regards

Had a Miele w504 washer (only 12 m old but commercial use so not in gtee) with two lights flahing “check inlet filter” and “check drain filter” or words to that effect.
It was a flood prevention float switch in base had triggered due slow insidious leak. Has your model got one such?

Yes it has a float switch but that is ok.
I have studied the wire diagram and it looks like 2 of the valve are in series with the aquastop valve so I have ordered a new hose at a bargain price of £127+vat+pp.
I Hope it works.
Thanks for the reply Mike.

Are you sure its inlet “filter” fault?? (It should be Water Inlet / Drain)
Don’t be fooled into spending money on parts that you probably don’t need.
These machines have a timed fill & if a certain level of water is not reached in a time it shows fault. This can because of a blocked inlet filter, a kinked hose etc..* You can extend the fill time in programming mode if theres a problem with it filling too slow.
PS:- the reason there are two solenoids in series is that if one stays open with grit dirt etc, then theres a secondary valve to stop the water.
