On this machine the door is coming open during a wash, although the interlock is locking. I will be fitting a new interlock but there is another problem with the door itself. I took the door apart to see if there was a problem with the pecker. I discovered that the owner had twisted some copper wire to link the handle spring (444008500) to the pecker spring (444008600). He explained that he had to do this as the door would not open. I thought the bits must be assembled wrongly but could not find any way to get the handle to rotate the pecker with his modification removed. He seemed to think that the handle was perhaps not meant to operate the pecker, just pull on the door. Anyone acquainted with these newish Servis doors?

the handle does move the pecker so if it isnt the bar across middle of handle will prob be broken. fit a new handle kit but put a little bit more tension on the small spring as sewrvis had problems with starting these machines.

Nothing appears to be broken but there seems to be no part of the handle that goes anywhere near the pecker. I’ve looked at the door handle assembly on the Connect site and it all looks the same as on the machine.
