    this dryers drum is chafing on the back panel this is the first time ive come across this but i do remember reading something a while ago about a mod kit for this problem but couldnt find the post, can anyone tell me what i need to rectify the problem if. its worth it 😉

    Have a nightmare with hotpoint/creda dryers rubing at the back i think the mod was a new drum design with less of a lip

    new drum eh? sounds an expensive repair.

    Fit the drum shaft repair kit, contains spacer,shaft, rear seal ect .
    If it looks like the drum will still rub fit 2 spacer washers.

    you could try it, see if it works, and put some foam pads where its been scraping, and extra washers


    other wise a new drum, pt no 1703662
