Thanks for the reply, penguin. I appreciate what you are saying. The fact that they are in a constant live state, even when the program is finished and machine is still switched on, but idle, leads me to believe that there is a governing switch, like a diaphram switch, which controls the neutral end of the circuit. Do you reckon there is a relay involved in that circuit too, and would it be on the circuit board?
Think what I probably will have to do, is get the lot up on a bench and try to trace the circuits with a meter. It’s just if someone could have directed me to an exploded diagram of components, or a wiring diagram, it would have made life much easier. I’ve already fired money at it, a couple of months ago, and don’t want to be wasting any more if it’s not worth it. It’s around 7yrs old.
It’s my own machine, by the way. lol
