Whirlpool DWF 415S (IKEA) 2 years old has stopped working and start light flashes once continuously with 1 second between flashes. I have tried to reset but the discharge pump kicks in for 10 seconds and then it stops again. I have tested both pumps, the heater, diaphragm switch, water solenoid, door switch all seem to be working. According to your site (excellent by the way) this error means it’s the NTC, I’ve tested it with the meter and get 44kOhms @ 20 degrees. I really don’t know what to do now and i don’t want to spend £100 on new PCB if it’s not the problem! Any suggestions would be most welcome as we have a busy life with 3 kids! service # 8545 415 15710.

50/50 call really – just because the NTC shows a reading doesn’t mean it works…… The NTC is the cheaper component, so, if you’re going to do this yourself, that’s where you start – before lashing out on the computer board.

Or you pay for a pro, who may well have the parts on board and be able to sub them for a result.

    The choice is yours!
