Help! My Whirlpool dishwasher ADG7540 was for some time not reaching the selected wash temperature (tested by regularly opening the door and measuring the temp). Now it does not heat the water at all. I removed the heater – a through flow heater, connected it directly to the mains where it would heat up and when very hot the thermostat would cut out and after cooling would reheat. The thermister (or feeler I think Whirlpool call it) varies its resistance when placed in hot then cold water. I think the problem lies with the pcb but at nearly one third the cost of a new dishwasher I am not keen to buy a new one.

Where could I get the PCB repaired or find a replacement? I thought maybe a recycling centre I live in Edinburgh.

Any help would be gratefully received and end this obsession!

I would get an engineer in to diagnose fault correctly first.
