    Hi there,

    Our Ariston Marherita 2000 AWD12 Advantage will not start.

    When you turn it on and choose a program the red light slowly flashes on and off continuously and the cycle doesn’t start.

    I’ve checked other posts but I can’t seem to see any one with the same problem … any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Does the door lock up? Open and shut the door firmly to ensure the latch has engaged the door interlock and start the machine again.
    If the door doesn’t lock, then the interlock may be faulty. If the door locks, then the PCB module (computer board) could well have failed.
    If you suspect the PCB, then seek an engineer’s inspection before despairing . 😉

    thanks for the quick response steve
    i think it must have been something to do with the lock cos it wasn’t locking … and now it has locked and seems ok … fingers cross it’ll be ok next time
