    My wife has asked me whether it is possible to use one of the latest dishwasher cleaning products in a washing machine. Is it possible/advisable?

    She rarely does a boil wash (as advised to do once a month !). Periodically I clean the outlet system (pipes, non-return valves) and remove caked powder/slime. We also use “Calgon” in every other wash but still she feels that the inside of the drum is becoming “grimy”.

    Any suggestions welcome.
