HI CAN ANYONE HELP OUT, GOT A HOTPOINT BU62P ELECTRIC DOUBLE OVEN. TOP OVEN AND BOTTOM OVEN WORK OK IF USED INDIVIDUALLY. BUT TRY TO USE TOGETHER AND NEITHER WILL HEAT UP OR WORK. ANYONE GOT ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS CHEERS

That’s really odd.
Are you sure that they’re not heating and cutting out on the overheat? That would indicate a faulty overheat stat or insufficient ventilation.
Or are they plain just refusing to work at the same time? If so, does the whole lot cut out, as in no power?

cheers kwatt, i wont know until later in week as its a friends oven and he said the top and main (lower) ovens work fine if used separately and not at the same time, but if you try to use together nothing happens so can’t say for definte if he means “run then cuts out” or “power cuts when switched on together” or just “nothing happens” but couple of good pointers cheers. let you know later.

Hi sorry didn’t get back sooner. Seems 1st time used top and bottom ovens together for quite a large quantity of food, and built into quite a tight area with little air flow to cool. So ovens cycling on and off ok just sheer amount of food being cooked holding residual heat making stat off times longer. Probably taking to much notice of manual saying add a few extra minutes for larger amounts of food to cook ! cheers
