    Hi,

    I have searched through and cannot see anyone else with the same fault so here goes ❓

    My WD420 has light 5 (Extra Rinse) stuck on and when you push the start button to begin the program all the LED’s across the top (except Door Locked) light up for a couple of seconds after that the machine does nothing. I have tried leaving it unplugged for thirty mins but it is still the same.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    It could be that the option buttons are stuck or jammed, have you spilt anything on them, fabric conditioner, tea, coffee etc. Do any of the buttons appear to be stuck in?

    Thanks Jim, tried pushing the button but it made no difference. I am able to use buttons 1 – 4 ok however 5 is stuck on and the machine will not start.

    If any of the buttons are stuck in then the machine will not function. You have almost certainly spilt something on them.

    It is possible to remove the button assembly and clean but it is a very fiddly job requiring removal of the console PCB. Please remove the mains plug if you intend to have a go or try the link below to see if we have someone who can help.
