rangemaster 110 – UK Whitegoods

the fan oven fan has siezed
went to go and change it and found the back panel is held on by about 50 rivets
am i missing something or do you have to drill them all out then rerivit them?????????? 😳

have you taken the fan off? it’s held on by a nut which is left hand thread, if you haven’t removed do so and you should see three scews or bolt heads which hold the motor in place
POWER OFF BEFORE YOU START

have taken the fan off but there are no screw heads
you can see the thread end of the screws sticking out
so screw heads are on other side and so the whole back must have to come off i presume

there must be a way!! i can’t imagine no access :rolls: however i haven’t done a fan change on a rangemaster..sorry can’t help with any more info. would be very interested to know what you find.

when i did one the back was held on with screws and the screws that held the fan on were screwed from inside the oven. they must have changed the design on this one,it sounds a right pig.

i don`t have rivets or a rivet gun so looks like i will have to lose this call

aAs mike1 said, the motor assembly is behind a cover on the rear of the oven secured by 3 self tappers along the top and one either side. remove the screws and the cover will hinge down on locating tabs and can be removed. The motor assembly is held in by 3 nuts on the inside of the cavity and the whole assembly can be removed. The part number for the motor and mounting plate is A0977769

as before i have taken the cover off and can see the fan motor but to get to the screws that hold it off i will have to drill out approx 50 rivets to get the panel off

Petalpop what is the actual model no the 110 covers a multitude of models ,the no is on the chassis under the right hand lower pan drawer on a silver sticker ,find it then ring Rangemaster 01926457400 ask fro tech advice .
I have to say every 110 that I have worked on has the fan motor as everyone else has described (did one yesterday).
But they did sell the leisure brand to Arcelik and I have seen a leisure which is actually a Beko

What a joy they are :rolls:
Not as nice as the old Leisure to get into.
Usual faults overheating mains terminal and dreadful thermal fuse failure rate.

Page 28 of manual for 110 all electric
not sure about rivets the back on this one is held in position by screws.
