46337 420 105.The PCB is almost certainly duff on this. The machine is stuck on spin cycle and will not switch OFF. Turning the control knob to OFF has no effect, it just stays stuck on spin, completes a spin cycle then repeats it again and again. Customer has decided to bin the machine so with her consent I have removed the PCB.
Partfinder lists the PCB as C00143067, it also lists an eeprom as C00141338, it even shows a nice picture of a blank eeprom.
For the life of me I cannot see a standard, eight leg eeprom on this board, where is it or does this late board not have one. 😕
Funny thing is when I ran an Auto Test cycle using the hardware key I initially got an instant F08. tightened the NTC connections and tapped the pressure switch and that cleared and the machine then went through the full auto test cycle perfectly. :rolls:

Jim, its like the one I had the other day, same fault even. New board has a 8 pin socket for Eprom. old board has it suface mounted underneath. Got to wonder how long they will make replacement boards and eeproms, rather than blank boards that need programming on site with all the tech gizmoes they dont let us have.

Thats the thing Mark, when you say ‘underneath’ do you mean on the green, track side of the PCB? All I can see on there are four push bottons, a small chip with 16 pins and a larger one with 32 pins. 😕

I guess its one of those? or maybe on the small board at right angles to the main. who knows. The 8 pin socket location for the eeprom is printed on the top of the board and marked ‘U2’
looks like we have got ourselves a new common fault here.September 13, 2007 at 6:25 pm #227535robbo1973

There is a small chip, smaller than normal eeprom on one of the two small right angled PCB’s with eight legs, could be that one.
robbisonrobbo, can you confirm that Tony is now repairing these late modules.

Hi Jim/Mark,
the faults you have with this console pcb are very common at the moment, the eprom on the factory pcb is a surface mounted device.

hi iadom i have had 3 repaired in the last week or so. one no reset, one same as yours the other was random lights flashing. all 3 have been repaired and have been fit for a few days and all is well. could be a good earner if you can convince cust to spend a few quid.

Memory chip is SMD (surface mount device) on bigher right angled PCB between microprocessor and that SMD capacitor (aluminium). You could not replace it with DIP one in this case (not enought space). But if is not damaged can be reprogram (rewrite).
I will give you one simply trick in order to repair:

Just unsolder those two potentiometers (variabil resistors) and switch themselves. Everything will go well. 😳 8)

So I was on the right one then, thanks for that tip Adrian, do you mean change the two potentiometers over or replace with a new one, would that not cause problems with the variable temperature control ?
