ParticipantHi
Have a Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 and it is sticking part way through the wash-cycle (all wash-cycles). Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?Cheers

it may stick either due to a blocked /failed pump…does it drain out? or a faulty heater. …does it heat? put it on spin rinse and see if it drains..if it does the pump is ok.

The correct model number would be a big help, 1100 is the spin speed. If it is a WM machine then worn motor brushes are the most common cause. A faulty heater or pump on WM machines will not cause the machine to stick.
Please be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to investigate, better still post the full model number to give us a better idea, look inside the door.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it does pump out water. Having looked at it again, I think the drum has stopped turning. Worth fixing?

Well if you are not going to give us the model number we will have to keep guessing, 😉
No motor action would confirm that the brushes are faulty. Should be well worth fixing.
Two different motors used, ergo two different types of brushes.

Sorry about that, WM63P is the model. The machine was on when I replied last.

No problem, that model could have either motor, you will need to have a look at the label on the motor to identify.
