Purely for conversational purposes, I wonder why it is after reading so many posts on this site about machines (Chinese Ones) that flood their base with water & cut out, why in the interests of consumer safety are these machines being allowed on the UK market? – Surely it is only going to be a matter of time before someone is (God Forbid) hurt or killed with one of these cheap Chinese things? – Why doesn’t BEAB or the Kitemark Lot step in & do something?

    Curious – WQ

    I wish they would……

I would imagine that the appliances conform to the electrical safety standards, including the earthing arrangement. The fuse does at least blow or the breakers trip when the damn things do flood.

    In my honest opinion. 😀
