Please can someone offer some advice on hotpoint mistral ff92 i think.
A few days ago the fridge stopped working and some of the freezer stuff defrosted, mainly at the top.
I turned off, defrosted and turned on today. it is continually on fast freeze. The freezer is cold at the bottom but not so much at the top and not at all in fridge. The fan in the freezer is running.
Last year I replaced 2 thermistors acting on advice from this site and it worked brilliantly. Does anyone know if buying these thermistors again would be the first course of action. The problem is slightly different from last year.
I am a service engineer myself although not refrigeration and refuse to pay the hotpoint call out charges.
    Many thanks in advance.

Have you had the kick-panel off to clean the condenser at bottom right?

Further to Clive’s suggestion I have ckeared some debris from around condenser and still not working correctly.
Also further to my initial post the fan within the freezer is NOT running and is not getting any voltage from the connector block within the compartment.
Is it possible that this is a thermistor problem again and if so which one is it likely to be.
The freezer temp is dropping but it looks to my untrained eye that the cold air is not being forced up through to the fridge via the baffle.
I would rather go with a cheaper try it and see repair myself with the aim of buying a new appliance if it doesnt work rather than paying a Hotpoint call out and parts bill running to hundreds.
Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed.
