I can’t get my boiler to re-light, I think there’s a spark there but the boiler just won’t light. Can anybody give me an idea what the problem could be and also roughly how much I should expect to pay for getting it repaired?

I know it’s not strictly ‘whitegoods’ but any help would be appreciated.

    Hi
Your best option would be to contact Corgi and locate a suitable engineer IMHO 😉

    Thanks Greg

I’ve already found my local Corgi registered Engineers but I was just after a rough idea of the problem and price so I don’t get ripped off.

    Cheers though! :salute:

You didn’t say what make it was , but i am the very pissed off owner of a potterton puma which is now on it’s third replacement gas valve for just the symptoms you describe above. The latest failure just 6 weeks ago, the price of the part varied between £385 and £98 . great thing the internet !

Hold up guys!…This is a whitegoods site and boilers are’nt whitegoods in spite of their colour. You need to contact a Plumbing/Central Heating website or your local plumbing heating engineer….not us. 😉
