Advice on new fridge freezer.

Hi all

I am looking to buy a freestanding fridge freezer (possibly American style? dunno) to put in the utility room. This would basically be used to hold the overflow from the fridge freezer in the kitchen and basically to store stuff which is not going to be used for a while.

I was wondering if any of you could offer some advice on what I should be looking for; perhaps brands to avoid or brands to go for.

I’m am sort of keen on having a built in ice-maker. Would these be more trouble than they are worth? Are these just a gimmick?

Any experience that can be shed on the matter would be most welcome.
