OK – now had to turn off the water supply to this side by side for a few weeks due to a leek (absolutely nothing to do with the fridge freezer by the way).

Anyway – reconnected it, new filter, new water pipe fitted from filter to back of fridge BUT when water is dispensed, it smells kind of musty 😕

We’ve pumped off loads of water to see if we could clear it of stale water but it still stinks! Admitedly, it’s not a very very strong smell, but it’s definitely not right.

Has anyone ever experienced this or have any ideas how to rectify the problem?

Any help/ideas would be appreciated 😀

We’ve been asked this before. It pretty much has to be the water as the components in the fridge are inert.

all, just to share that this refrigerator daewoo can burn.

Firemen extinguished the fire in the kitchen but I had thousands euro of damages in the kitchen (the refrigerator itself , all the appliances , food, medicines and many other things). All the flat was full of dark and dangerous smoke and I had to change all tents, paint all the flat, and I had to trough out books and many other stuff.
Even if Firemen wrote in their report the fire started from Daewoo refrigerator engine, after months of attempt to ask Daewoo to recognize it and share the pain for the damages they wrote to me that it could happen after 7 years since I bought it. This could happen also to you. Please double check and install smoke or fire detect in your kitchen (and subscribe an house insurance) :offtopic:
