I have a Candy CD622 dishwasher and I noticed it wasn’t cleaning very well recently. I think the bottom arm is turning ok, but the top one does not seem to be.

When I turn it off and open it there are drips from the holes in the top arm, but it is still in the same position, so I think it is not moving. I have taken both arms out and cleaned them but the top one is still not moving. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m beginning to think the appliance gremlin is in my house. In the last three weeks I have had to fit brushes to the motor of my washing machine and two “brains” to my Whirlpool side by side. Now the dishwasher.

Sounds like a worn out arm bearing, which looks like a new complete arm I’m afraid. Another thought, would be whether there is a drop in water pressure, which could be the wash pump, but I would concentrate on the arm.
There could also be a leak, springing from the backpipe or the arm, or a blockage in the pipe or arm, as this would stop the pressurised water from spinning the arm around.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll have a look at replacing these parts. I don’t think they are that expensive.

    Thanks again.
