ParticipantHi I’m new to the forums, but have a problem, i’m hoping i can get advice on to sort out.
My Bosch WFT2800 washer/dryer, is producing no heat on the dry cycle!
The drum spins, pump empties, i’ve had the lid off, and the dryer motor is spinning freely.
I have pressed the red button on the thermo, which has made no difference.
Presuming it is either the thermo, or the heating element.
There is no error message on display, everything seems normal, except no heat.
Any advice, on how to identify the fault would be much appreciated.
The ENR is WFT2800GB
FD is 791100319Thanks in advance

With the power off you can check the heater for resistence and the stats for continuity 😉

HI
Thanks for the quick reply….
Would it be possible to have a bit of an explanation, regarding how to check for continuity and resistance..Its been a while since i did anything like this, but i do have a multi meter, so i would like to give it a go.
Thanks

Stats on heater should read 0 ohms from cold and should be measured disconnected; the heater should read between 28 – 34 ohms.
Power off whilst doing this :plug:

Hi
I have the following readings, stat 0.06 ohms, the heater however is showing no difference in the reading, of the open circuit. So am i right in thinking the heater element is faulty and needs changing?
Cheers

It certainly sounds like it from your measurements (ooer)
Do you have the digits after the GB?? so we can get you a part number for the dryer heater 🙂

If you have checked the other dryer stats then no.
Without physically being there and diagnosing thats the best I can advise really.
Your call 😉Greg
