when fan oven is switched on the fan goes but no heat
thermostat light doesn`t come on
is it the thermostat?????September 24, 2007 at 10:04 pm #228425aqualectric

Has it got a thermal cut out in the element supply wiring? If there is and it’s O/C, that could be the problem. If it’s OK or no cut out is fitted, then it is almost certainly the stat at fault.
Wiring out the thermostat will check if it’s faulty. You should now have power to the element.HTH,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: indesit cooker
still would need a part number for the thermal cut out
as you can`t just bypass itSeptember 25, 2007 at 5:51 pm #228429richardable
ParticipantRe: indesit cooker
the wire out of the overheat stat is just a test measure to prove it is o/c or not. if it is then you need the part number, prove it first.

There doesn’t appear to be any cut-out on the parts listing.

thanks martin
any idea on the cut out though
do you just bypass itSeptember 27, 2007 at 3:00 pm #228437Dave_Conway
ParticipantRe: indesit cooker
There is no cut out fitted to this model, it’s basically a Creda in disguise 😉
Two main oven stats used, the one Martin mentioned and 6203969 (after date code 26) but I would check the selector switch to be honest as they fail, part number 6201383
