I had an interesting conversation this afternoon which seemed to indicate that Beko are approaching various independents to do work direct – anyone heard anything or indeed been offered anything ??

Been on-going for over a year now. They visited me August 2006.

I don’t know the full picture but in some areas where the existing structure is working it will remain, and they may get all the work instead of part of it; in others there may be new agents recruited. I would suspect all done & dusted.

They’ve been going this way for a while and I think it’s due to expansion of the brand as well as the realisation that recruiting and retaining employed engineers simply isn’t happening.

Beko have been playing it very close to their chest but I suspect that some compromises may have to be made if they want the levels of cover in some areas.

Another little snippet, I’ve been told that Beko are leaning quite heavily on Domestic and General to only pass out the extended warranty work to their network of approved engineers. Looks like a little bit more is being nibbled away from their network. Mind you being cynical it should give us a better chance of getting the famous award 😆

Heh ho… it’s mostly Beko we get.

S’ok though as it’ll be Walter that’s doing it I’d imagine so we’ll get it back in a bit if that’s the case. 😉 😆
