    Hi folks

Been to m/c today.. takes ages to start but you can hear slave timer wirring away but dosn’t stop to start programe – managed it a couple of times (wash prog & spin) but last time set it to rinse and spin and waited at least 8 min before giving up on it.. suspect it is the old slave timer prob like the non display type models but would just like a bit of reassurance as not come across this before on these type..

Also cust complaining of f4 and f2 fault.. Can’t find fault codes for this type of m/c are they the same as the Nexus codes and would indicate a fill prob.. Would this be caused by erratic slave timer or am I looking at another fault?.. Was only able to check fill level on wash cycle which seemed ok.. unable to check rinse or cold water due to slave timer not kicking in prog..

    Any help gratfully appeciated..

    Thanks

    Mick

    Thanks Phil…

Been back today and fitted new slave.. reassembled and m/c not working at all.. no display – no door locking or starting..

Thought maybe loosened off a connection somewhere as a facia dangle job… but tightend everything in sight still no joy.. refitted orig slave.. still not working..

Checked supply in – ok.. live at slave main contacts and door lock.. although door lock has two lives at both middle and green connection but if it was this would suspect I would still get a display up.. pulling what little hair left out by now..

Anyone any ideas.. don’t think the slave was the wrong one (partno 91201338) or connected wrong as connector block will only go one way.. suspect something simple as was working before I changed slave timer.. but all out of idea’s.. can’t see it’s pcb as didn’t touch this only after to check connections.

Has anyone had similar probs or can offer any other comments please.. things gettin bit deperate as spent hour and half there and cust can’t use machine at all now..

    Thnaks

A Hoover ‘Interact’ machine usually displays “Error 2” on the LCD or “Error 4” rather than f2 and f4??? 😕

Error 2 is usually associated with a minefield of linked problems (all giving the same error) Either the Inlet Valve or the drain pump (both are wired together in series) or even the Coreboard at fault. Or the Pressurestat is faulty, take your pick? 🙁

Error 4 is somewhat simpler and less involved as it is associated with overfilling or anti-flood Pressurestat fault, one or the other, maybe even both? 😉
