    Having trawled through most of the posts on this forum I am now still experiencing the same problem.
    This machine is connected to cold water. I have checked and cleaned outlet hoses from matrix on lhs. I have removed cleaned and replaced float switch mechanism at bottom of matrix. I have checked heater element and thermo switches. I am getting heat during cycle. I have cleaned filters and run empty with detergent ,salt ,rinse aid added. Rotary control knob will move but when in any of wash cycles gets stuck just short of brush sign to left of 4 position. In this position the cycle continues and will not move on to intermediate and final rinse or drying programs.I have not yet opened front of control mechanism up.

    If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated ❓

    Check for broken wiring in the bottom left hand corner of the door, down at the pivot point.

    Power off, of course.

    Thanks for reply. Have given up and called whitegoods repair man out. It was one of the thermo switches apparently ,which when bridged cured the problem.
