I have given up on my quest to find an American Fridge freezer that is 85cm or less, so I have decided to buy a ‘normal’ fridge freezer instead.
Can anyone please advise me as to the best and most reliable makes / models. The main criteria are that it has to be 70 to 80 cm wide and stainless steel.
At the moment I’m looking at the Miele kfn 8992, Liebherr CNes 5056, Siemens KG44U195GB or the Fisher & Paykel E22B. Is the Liebherr worth the money or is the Siemens just as good? Is the Miele just the same as the Liebherr? Does the F&P have two compressors? And how is Liebherr pronunced?
I’m getting confused, so any help would be apprciated 😕

hi gilbo, a miele fridge is made by liebherr.
can’t comment on the other makes you mentioned, but liebherr is pronounced leebhair.
imo, the liebherr is a very good product.
have you tried looking at the frigidaire range of american fridges? they may have a narrower one.

Anyone of those Gilbo is going to give excellent service. But if I had to put them in order then I would say Miele, Liebherr then Siemens.
Not seen any F&P appliances so I can`t really comment 😉 .

That F&P Ice Warrior one is supposed to be pretty decent, but I haven’t seen one so I can’t confirm that. However, most F&P refrigeration I’ve seen has been pretty good.

Thanks everyone, I think I’ll start by looking at the Liebherr and go from there
Does anyone know a good showroom in south Oxon or Bucks that normally has Liebherr on display. A showroom that has the other makes as well for comparison would be even better

Just a point of interst. I have a broadband setup which includes my phone, and gives me anytime calls to UK & Ireland numbers, but does not include ‘0845’, 0870′, etc numbers. I use this site, http://www.saynoto0870.com/ to serach for Geograhical Alternative Numbers, and 0870 898 5050 converts to, 01977 665665.
Hope some of you find that site useful.
