Hello chaps, I called out to this washer dryer about three weeks ago, dryer not heating up. On inspection found that the TOC had gone, so I checked the rest of the dryer unit and condenser unit for signs of blockage but nothing. The dryer unit looked as if it had only been used a couple of times. I replaced the TOC kit and everything was OK. About a week ago I had to call back out same problem, the customer says she has only used the dryer about three times. She also advised that she had had the same job done previously but when it went wrong again in such a short time that she had thought it was a “dodgy engineer” so called me.
So if anyone can help I would be grateful, is there something else I am missing.

Turning the dryer off before it’s finished the cooling cycle can cause the one shot toc to go.

Check the fan motor wires are ok and not intermittent.

If it has an FHP motor fitted, check the wiring harness where it runs across the front of the motor. The small plate on the front of the motor has a raised edge that chafes through the harness at this point. Constant TOC failure is often casued by this.

check the motor loom for damage at the 2 cable ties on the cabinet, had a few with this problem.
