customer complains of noise. i run test and it’s ok..after about 3mins when it reverses a grindy kind of noise starts and increases in volume.
seems to be comming from the motor area. because the customer was going out i brought c/d to workshop, sprayed some wd40 around the motor and all seemed well. ran it empty and with a load in. all was well. took it back to customer and the noise started again, not as bad as before but still irritating!!!it seems to be noisier only in one direction. before i dive in any suggestions?

Did you lubricate up the pulleys and rear bearing while you had it all stripped down? this is where i find most noises stem from.

tim, did the pulleys and it got rid of the noise, didn’t do the back bearing. so i might get a recall…we’ll see. 😉
    thanks for info. 🙂
