❓ Hi there – all of a sudden my Bosch WTL 5500 refuses to work. We have cleaned all the filters, etc, it comes on and looks normal, but when we press the start button nothing happens. The time comes up and the led flashes in the bottom right hand corner and we also have the correct selctions made on the dials and we have not selected a delayed start. We’ve even double checked and it is not “locked” for security.
    Nothing.
The drum rotates by hand and the ambient temperature is normal.
    Nothing appears to have changed.

Any ideas? Is there a hidden master reset button?

    Many thanks.

Is the door hook ok ? Is the door shut properly ?

Hi – it all appears to be ok and closes properly. We’ve been all over the machine and it appears as normal. Kids cannot close the door too heavily as it is upon the washing machine, so has not got damaged.
There really does not appear to be any issue, except that it will not start!
    Thanks!
🙁 (Desperate with 2 small children!)

Do you have a “-” in the display? If you have, try powering up then holding select button in for at least 6 seconds until “-” disappears, that removes the lock.
Failing that either a faulty door lock or power board IMO.
