Hi, I have the compact White Knight tumble dryer, i think its a couple of years old now, but for the past few months it has seen very sluggish when drying, and we dont use it too often, just to dry towels, but even on high with the fluff filter clean, I have to set it for nearly 3 hours to dry 3kg of towels. Damn rediculous. 😉
But what could the problem be, im not sure if it makes any difference but it is one of the sensordry ones which makes it all the worse!

    Thanks in advance

Yes, it is, i have checked whether the vent is connected to the dryer and the window vent and it is, i used it just this evening and everything seems to be in order, and also there looks enough room around for the air vents.

It’s only a single element in this one, so assuming that you’ve got heat, it more or less has to be an airflow issue – check airflow outside when machine is back in position is the obvious place to start.

I cant understand though, the ducting is the same in the garage now than when we had it in our ‘lean to’yet it doesn’t seem to dry even though we still spin them the same now as we used to do. I dont know why it isnt drying right. As for ventilation, we have it on a deep shelf unit, so theres enough room, behind and around the sides.

    Any other reason why?

I’m not sure, but one thought, might be that we keep it in the garage, is that suitable enough for a dryer, and the garage is pretty cold at the best of times. I also wondered whether there could be a problem with the element or the sensor?

Best not to wonder Adam but to get those tools out and check it out I guess? 😉 😉
