I have this one in the workshop, it has been in a kitchen that has been flooded.

I am getting the rinse light flashing after a minute or so (Motor fault I seem to remember?) a new motor is £325 I have checked board and cant see anything obvious also checked pressure pipe for blockage.

Can anyone think of anything else PLEASE I am strugling to justify a motor unless I am 99.9999999999{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure

Thanks again to all (Special thanks for those that know the answer & decide to shre it with me) 😆

    You sure its a W847?
Check model number on inner door.
If it has got wet its possible that carbons are corroded (stuck) in holder, i’d advise you take off motor faceplate & look for corrosio on holders & brushes, clean thoroughly or replace.

There is a service mode where you can check each individual component its too long to post here, if you have e-mail address i can send it to you.

DOH! The correct model numbver is W487S.
Therefor there are NO carbon brushes. There are no obvious signs – the tacho gives a resistance reading and the motor runs freely although there are rust marks on the casing of the motor.

I guess it needs a new motor? Miele have quoted over three hundred quid for a new motor………..anyone any ideas please (Apart from a remortgage) It just seems such a waste to scrap it although I hear the price of scrap has risen lately 😆

Be careful theres 400V stored in capacitor of invertor board supplying the 3 phase motor & it can kick even after the supply is off!
Theres a thermal cut-out on the motor. 😉

PM me you’re e-mail addy & i’ll send ya some info
