Lady phoned today, live’s in remote area without mains pressure. Has to use a well. Say’s pressure is low but more than a trickle. Will an ise 5 work under these conditions ❓

    Re: Low water pressure

Depending how low the pressure is, it may very well time out on the timed fill. I’m pretty sure it should be 1 bar min. pressure.

Yup between 1 bar and 10 (where 1bar is equivalent to 8 litres a minute flow rate with the tap fully open).

Sorry Alfie I missed this one.

Sean and Gegsy are totally correct, below a 1 bar pressure there’s a danger that any modern machine will time-out on fill and I have seen it happen. An old pressure switch job and rotary timer won’t, but try finding one these days. I’m afraid that they are now a thing of the past pretty much other then the odd old A. Merloni thing.

I had to do some research on this recently for a customer and, it’s mission impossible to find a machine that can do it now, even the cheap ones are using the sort of system used on ISE5, 2 and 10.

The one I was asked related to a machine that the person could use with an Artisan Well. Short answer is, nothing pretty much.

We did one installation in these conditions and, it was nothing but grief from day one. Loads of faults, none of them real and we ended up refunding the customer.

Jackal had the machine back at his place, ran it extensively and found booger all wrong with it despite numerous calls, loads of hassles and no apparent cause.

My advice is to explain all this to the customer, avoid and let someone else have the problem.

Ah, too late K. delivering ise 5 within next few days.
Customer says they will install pump if not enough pressure.
    Will keep you posted.

Ise washer arrived this morning fri. Delivery driver did’nt bother to ring me as requested said he’s not paid to make phone calls. Luckily wife happened to be at home otherwise he could have been waiting a long time ❗

Yeah a pump’s about the only answer these days for low water pressure. Trying to get some of the tight “people” to get that into their heads is a tad frustrating as, it’s always the machine that’s faulty. 😉
