I have a fully integrated PRIMA LPR 600, when i put it on to do a wash (any programme) it sounds as if it is about to start, and then just stops, there is no light flashing to indicate a fault and when I open the door water has appeared in the bottor around where the filter is….? Please could anyone help?

Can you hear a faint humming noise after the fill stops?

yes I can hear a humming sound and it appears to be trying to do something…..if I leave it the whole length of the cycle it will bleep as if it has finished, but obviously it has not.
I have been messing around with it for hours….the water is not coming in through the rotary things it is coming in through the bottom…?

The hum may well be power going to the circulation pump. If you are lucky, it may just be jammed or the start/run capacitor may have failed. If you are unlucky, it may have one of these little horrors in it:

For any of the above problems, the machine will have to be removed from the housing and a fair degree of disassembly is required as well.

Time for a bit of pro help, I suspect.

I left it alone yesterday and tried again today, still the same unfortunately.

I have called out a service engineer to come out tomorrow, so fingers crossed. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Maintenace engineer came out today, he needs to make a return visit as he does not carry parts!!, although it maybe wasn’t a total waste of time as he thinks he has identified the fault (by the noise the d/w was making) as being a faulty “circulation pump”.
    He will return on Monday…
