Machine has been running fine for years – now it gets to 7 mins before end of cycle (during spin cycle) and it keeps filling up with water then draining then filling then draining etc – timer stays @ 7 mins.
Sometimes get “LE” error code.I’ve had a brief look and found the following:
Found a screw in a plastic cylinder attached to bottom hose of drum – looks like this is some kind of water fill level detector ?
Removed the screw but it hasn’t resolved the problem.I’ve seen other posts that mention if the machine is unbalanced it will fill with water & drain to rebalance the load ?
Any ideas what to check next ?
The Appliance Manufacturer Information page on UK Whitegoods website mentions that these machines suffer from leaking soap drawers & instability problems & that LG have released a fix – does anybody have info on these because my machine has these also.

LE indicates fault in the motor, but it can also be caused by a fault in the control module. It is very difficult to acertain where the fault lies but educated guess might be the motor . As to the mods for vibration i’d say they are not worth pursuing as they make little or no difference.
