AEG Competence B1180-1 Fan fault?!!!!! Please Help

    Hi chaps, ive been reading the forum on the problem everyone seems to be having with their ovens turning of after 20mins or so and being advised to buy the replacement thermostat fan control item … . .

    My problem is that my oven does too turn itself of as a safety mechanism as it over heats.

    The Fan works inside when its switched on but the fan emitting air above the handle and control panel doesnt. causing the control panel ( clock area) to heat up which i think is why it keeps cutting of once too hot.

    Any advice would be sooooooo gratefully recieved on what to do

    Dan please, one thread per topic or it all just gets messy.

    If there’s someone about that can help you they will, but to expect an answer inside a couple of hours on a working day when most engineers are on the road… :rolls:

    Sounds like the cooling fan motor is goosed and that will cause the overheat to trip.

    remove power to oven if you are going to look yourself.

    THANKYOU ! I WAS THINKING THIS COULD BE IT FROM ALL THE TOPICS ABOUT THIS KIND OF THING MY ONLY WORRY WAS THE MODEL OF MY OVEN BEING A

    B1180-1 AND THIS DIDNTY APPEAR IN THE MODEL LIST FOR THAT PART..
