I have a new Bosch fridge freezer KGU32124. I have noticed a recurring area of condensation on the outer cabinet of the fridge section approx 2″ diameter. This area feels colder than the rest of the outer cabinet. Could there be an insulation problem?
I don’t want to call a service engineer unnecessarily as they will charge me if its not a legit fault.

    Is this at the door?

No its in the centre of the right hand side of the fridge section about a third of the way up.

I’m not familiar with the model but, basically, if one of the hot return pipes runs there (especially in a cold environment) then yes, you will get some condensation externally. Usually it’s not too much of a concern.

It’s more common to see this around the door in the UK as it is the anti-condensate line that stops condensation forming in higher ambients. It has the opposite effect when it gets too cold.

Unless one of the Bosch guys knows any different it may be worth having it checked or asking Bosch’s technical if you can get a hold of them.

There is a chance that your appliance is faulty . If the fridge freezer is freestanding , in a well ventilated area then there shouldn’t be a condensation patch . It sounds like a cable may have come loose i nside and is sitting too close to the side wall . Best bet is to call out BSH to have it checked
