Had this condensor dryer about 6 months or so.
Yesterday around 17.00 the on/off light and ‘time delay’ and ‘high heat’ lights started flashing in unison.
The dryer is not hot, I’m guessing what the issue maybe, but was hoping that there maybe a simple solution. The condensor ‘bowl’ is drained, filter’s cleaned and the main filter cleaned and rinsed clear.
In operation, it still rotates, but when depressed neither the ‘time delay’, ‘pre creasecare’ or ‘high heat’ buttons will function. They flash a few times and then nothing.
The ‘Alarm’ and ‘post creasecare’ buttons do operate. Here’s hoping for the ‘unplug it and it’ll reset it self answer’.
Also – is this Hotpoint or Indesit and just a branding exercise?October 14, 2007 at 3:23 pm #230797iadom

Its best to give us the flashing option lights by number, however you will need to send for the Indesit Company , sounds like stat failure. Still produced in the UK but to Indesit standards. 😉 :rolls: 😥

OK.
RHPANEL
LED 1.
LED 2.
LED 3.are the ones flashing and refusing to engage.
Does this mean its the thermostat?

Sorry, I’ll start again, the top four vertical lights on the left of the console next to the option buttons, together with the top,far right POST CARE light and the slowly flashing ON/OFF light are used for error codes.
I’m only guessing, due to the picture I have being very faint that the TIME DELAY is option 1 and HIGH HEAT is option 3. If so then that is almost certainly a stat failure, often due to failing to clean the condenser element behind the large flap at the bottom or by stopping the machine mid cycle to check on the clothes, you should always allow the machine to do the ten minute cool down at the end.

You are correct.
Condensor is cleaned relatively regular, but as for opening the door, 😳 you’d be correct.
Looks like its under warranty so I don’t have to ‘worry’ at this stage.
Thanks.
