    Hi,

I’ve inherited a Firenzi DW930 dishwasher and it’s recently stopped working. The dishwasher had about an inch of water in the bottom and the start light flashes 4 times, then pauses and repeats. This is accompanied by beeping.

I turned it all off, manually scooped out the water and attempted to restart it, but when I do, it whirs for a minute or so and the same thing occurs (4 flashes, pause). The dishwasher does not attempt to fill up with any more water.

I’m going to guess that the exit pipe is blocked, but since it’s a fitted dishwasher I can’t even find where that is. I don’t have a manual, but downloaded a very brief one from the Whirlpool website. Does anyone know what the 4 flashes means? It’s not in the instructions from whirlpool.

I eagerly need help since my wife has now got used to having a dishwasher and thinks I can fix it! Help please!

    Thanks,
    David.

No drain in the time allowed…….

You will have to remove the machine from the housing – front cover and undertray off, lean it back for access. The drain pump is at the front, but still awkward to access – it will almost certainly be blocked.

The only easy check is the coupling under the sink – it can block.

Power off before removing any panel.

Thank you for your quick response! I’ve started to remove the housing but it’s a big job for me and I haven’t had time to get to the drain pump. I’ll let you know how I get on.

    Thanks again.
    David.
