    Hi,

You were very helpful when the element went in my oven earlier this year, wondering if I can call on your expertise again?

My Diplomat oven suddenly stopped working last night. No oven, no grill, no light – nothing. The fuse in the spur is ok as the light is still working on that. The oven is 9 years old now so might just need replacing but we’ve sold our house so would like to avoid buying a new one if possible. Are there any other checks I should make before ordering a new oven?

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry should have noted that the model number is APL3201IX and it’s built in.

    Many thanks

There’s not really anything I’d advise anyone to check for themselves; it sounds like either the clock has failed or the terminal block has fried and to investigate both of these involves opening the machine up to some degree and doing some component testing.
If it’s the clock that’s failed then you’re looking at over £120 for a new one I’m afraid.

If you do go in for a look then remember to kill the oven power supply first :zap:
