Does not heat up. Put on a B programme and it goes so far but then stops without heating . Thn element looks ok, no distortion or untoward colouring… same all over really. Imagine it might be electrics in door. Have checked syphons for signs of blockage but ok.
    all ideas gratfully received.

Broken wiring in the door is quite possible, especially at the pivot point where the loom turns under the tub.

    Power off, if investigating.

    Thanks Penguin

In the end it turned out to be a fat blockage after all. A mate suggested as a last resort pouring boiling water in the the the bit where the blue syphons go and disconnecting the clear tube underneath. That didnt work but by blowing back up the clear tub it blew up a lump of something disgusting.
We reckon that maybe the heat wasnt coming on becuase the fat was holding up part of the pumping out cycle. But who knows. thanks for bothering
