    🙁 Dear sir/madam

I have just had a new kitchen installed in my newly purchased house with a new built in washing machine APM8552. However it dosen’t seem to be taking the hot water feed very well at all. As it takes forever for the washing macjine to load the water, the cycle times are about 4 hours.

The washing machines takes both hot and cold water feeds. Does anyone know why it is all taking so along?

I have a combi boiler which I’m am not yet familiar with – could this be what’s causing the problem.

    Can someone please help.

Most of the programs run off the cold fill only; the hot supply is only used for a couple of the more intensive programs iirc.
If the water is just trickling in then apart from your fill hoses being kinked behind the machine it soulds like you might have low water pressure. The machine refills several times during the course of a program so if you have a slow fill that gets multiplied and ends up adding considerable time to a wash cycle. Times of 2 – 2 1/2 hours are not uncommon for those machines but 4 hours is a little bit long.

Pull the machine forward and check the hoses for kinks – if the appliance fills fine when it’s out in the middle of the floor then you’ve got a problem with the hoses being crushed when it’s in its housing.

If the hoses are not causing the problem and your supply to the machine is fine then it may be time to place a service call and have it looked at professionally.
